Privacy Policy
Effective 1 September 2026 · My Sun Log · Arcane Void LLC
The short version. My Sun Log collects nothing about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising identifier, and no server of ours for data to be sent to. What you enter stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall.
This policy is short because there is little to describe. Where that changes, this page changes with it, before the change ships.
1. Who this covers
This policy applies to the My Sun Log application on Android and iOS, published by Arcane Void LLC ("we", "us"), and to this website.
2. What the application collects
Nothing. My Sun Log has no account system, no analytics, and no advertising SDK. It does not transmit information about you, and it does its work without a network connection.
The following is stored on your device only, and is readable by nobody but you:
- The settings you choose — including your skin type and your vitamin D target — so the figures are computed for you rather than for an average person.
- A location accurate to roughly a city, which you choose from a list carried inside the application. No location permission is requested and no positioning hardware is read. The place you pick is stored on your device, is used only to compute where the sun is above it, and is never transmitted.
- The sun sessions you record, and what you entered alongside them.
- Your preferences, including whether notifications are enabled.
Notifications are scheduled on the device by the device. No notification is sent from anywhere else, and none is triggered by us.
3. Deleting your data
Uninstalling the application removes everything it stored. Individual sessions can be deleted inside the application at any time. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for you to ask us to erase and no request for us to process.
4. This website
This site is static. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds no trackers or fonts from other services.
It is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub, as our hosting provider, processes visitor IP addresses to serve pages and to protect the service from abuse. That processing is governed by GitHub's privacy statement. We do not receive, request, or have access to those logs.
5. Email
If you write to hello@arcanevoid.com, your message and address reach us through a mail forwarding service provided by our domain registrar, Namecheap. We keep correspondence only as long as it takes to deal with what you wrote about, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
6. Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, including children under 13. This is not a commitment we monitor for compliance; it is a consequence of collecting nothing at all.
7. Your rights
Where the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA or comparable law gives you a right to access, correct, port, or delete personal information a company holds about you, we satisfy it in the only way available to us: we hold none.
We do not sell or share personal information, and we have never done so. We do not use personal information for targeted advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.
8. If this changes
Some things we may build would require collecting or transmitting information — a subscription, purchased through the platform's store, is the obvious one. A purchase of that kind would be processed by Google Play or the App Store under that store's own privacy terms; we would receive no payment details.
If we add anything of that kind, we will update this policy and change its effective date before the change reaches you, and we will say plainly what is collected, by whom, and why. We will not quietly widen this page and rely on your having agreed to it in advance.
